Be Prepared

A special request to those (parents/scoutmasters) who are driving:  Please be totally prepared before arriving.  This means that the ATM machine has already been visited, the gas tank is filled, the tires have been checked for air, etc.  If even one driver needs to stop for ten minutes for something (air, cash, pop, bait, etc.), and a whole troop of thirty scouts, scoutmasters, etc. must be delayed, that means 5 man hours (10 minutes times 30 persons = 300 minutes) have been wasted, not to mention that the whole troop will arrive later to the destination.  Everyone should be prepared!

PARENTS & SCOUTS: PLEASE BE ON TIME TO PACK THE TRAILER AND CARS, HANDLE LAST MINUTE PAPERWORK AND TAKE PICTURES.

When traveling, every Troop 374 Scout always looks great in his very neatly tucked and buttoned “Class A” Shirt, including Neckerchief.
Besides making us all look great, this is a scout insurance rule.

MOST CRITICAL SAFETY RULE:  Every Scout lives by the "buddy" system:  Each scout is ALWAYS accompanied by his buddy for the duration of the trip.
