The Voyage Home

The turkey was still alive, well and wailing early Sunday morning.

We had breakfast and began to break camp.

The scoutmaster gave the troop the "thumbs up" to head back to say one last farewell to the river.

During the trip home, several scouts wanted to check some knot tying skills learned this weekend.  Problem was, there was no rope in the car.  One of the scouts had brought along some peeling licorice candy.

We were so pleased with the Culver's Restaurant where we ate on Friday that we decided to stop there again on the way home..

This Culver's is located on the South side of Rt. 20, just west of Rockford.

We made it back to Sandburg by 2 PM.
