Sunday Evening

The troop left Sandburg by 1 PM.  The trip took four hours, and in the process ended up in the Eastern time zone.  We arrived by 6 PM local time.

The troop took a very informative tour of the sub.  By the time the tour was over, the pizzas and pop were ready in the crews mess.

After cleaning up, the troop settled in.  Some played card or video games.  Others watched submarine videos.

They had booked three troops on the sub for the night.  Four of the older scouts and two leaders decided to help ease crowding by staying aboard the McLane, which is docked next to the Cobia.  (2nd photo below)

The following photos of the Silversides were taken from a tripod at about 10 PM.

At about 10:30, the scouts realized that it was last call for the gift shop facilities.  Many of them headed up

Meanwhile, back in the officers lounge onboard the Silversides, what turned out to be an all night party was just getting underway.
