Shabbona Lake State Park

The rest of Saturday.

The scouts were all back in camp about an hour after the heavy rain started falling.  They prepared a delicious Chicken & Pasta meal.  The steady/heavy rain continued until about 2 AM.

               

       

Mr. King had built such a significant fire from Oak that everyone stayed warm.  The bed of embers appeared to be at least 8" deep, so the rain didn't phase the fire even the slightest.  The rain continued until about 2 AM.
