Dear Eagle Candidates,
During the planning meeting with our Council, we
were reminded that Eagle candidates need to keep a copious log of hours. He had
suggestions for Max that never occurred to me and I wanted to pass those along
to you as well
During the planning phase of your project,
remember to log the time for:
- writing your plan.
- your time during meetings with me.
- my time for meetings with you. (I'm a
volunteer for your project).
- meeting for the committee presentation. Add
the number of leaders and committee members who heard your presentation and
discussed it with you and multiply that by the time the spent. They're
volunteering their time to assist in your planning.
- same as above if you had to present twice.
During the project phase:
- remember the parents who drove your actual
workers around.
- trips to store for supplies
- errands for layout purposes.
- meetings for recruitment.
- rain-delays.
Keep your log in quarter hour increments,
rounding up and down accordingly. The log is extremely important--keep good
notes and Happy Trails.
Mr. T
