Camp Napowan

Day 6 - Friday July 13, 2007

Being the last full day at camp, Friday is always a magical day.  For dinner the scouts enjoyed leaf salad, fruit, beef, potatoes, and delicious chocolate pudding.

Mr. Byam shows one stack of completed merit badge cards while two scouts show off their new moccasins.

A large number of canoe paddles are bolted to the dining lodge ceiling.  At the conclusion of every summer a new canoe paddle is signed by each Camp Napowan staff member.  Please note the names, including one of a famous middle school principal and one of a famous movie star.

Some scouts show their crafts.  Mr. Byam shows his 6-day shadow.  Mr. King shows his huge blister.

After dinner we hiked back to Bear Camp.

The Kybo is busy this time of day.  Has anyone seen our scoutmaster?

At the campsite:

Then it is time for the closing Camp Napowan Campfire:

Several of our scouts earned awards, as did Mrs. Becker.  At the conclusion of the campfire the staff performed a flag disposal ceremony.

Campfire back at Bear camp.
