Keep track and analyze your results—for the next drive!
When sorting and boxing all of the items in our garage, we kept track of a lot of things like hours, weight (bathroom scale) and items collected. We looked at quantity by locations and found that all types of drives worked pretty good if they were well planned, well publicized, and were done locally;—you’ll need all three.
Keeping track will also save time on your next relief drive and you can contact the organizations that you had collection points at and send out a letter or another flyer congratulating the community on the amount collected, which is just another reason why to keep track of how much you collected.
