KJ Eagle Project
KJ is disciplined, practical and organized. When he heard that a local home for senior citizens needed help getting organized, he decided to help them in a way that affects almost every day of their lives. Now these seniors don't spend all day watching videos. Quite the contrary, they spend many days on field trips, traveling to places like Chicago, the Arboretum, volunteer projects, etc. But after a long day and a filling dinner, many of them like to kick back, watch a video and munch on popcorn. Here's the problem. A multitude of videos and DVDs have been donated to the retirement home for senior citizens, but there was no place to keep them. Imagine hundreds of videos and DVDs laying all over the place.
Enter KJ.
For his Eagle project, KJ assembled a small, highly trained group of volunteers (including several other Troop 374 Eagle Scouts) and built several top quality media storage cabinets. The Seniors will now be able to find the exact flick they are looking for in no time flat.
KJ custom designed each one of these cabinets from scratch, acquired raw materials, made precision cuts and carefully built them, personally supervising every step of the way. The finished product did not look like some cheap particle board kit from Walmart. Instead they appear to be fine furniture that one acquires at an upscale furniture purveyor, perhaps like Tom's Price. Thanks to KJ, these seniors have their own private video store.
Good job to KJ and his Eagle Team
