HS Eagle Project
This is a huge project. DuPage County has a number of unemployed, financially stretched, homeless and others who simply do not have grocery money. HS church in Carol Stream is a giving church. For years the church has been giving away food. HS decided to streamline this process.
HS created a structure that resembles a market which would facilitate easier access to recipients and a shelf that would keep the food off the floor. It would made from treated lumber. It would be sturdy. It would have a skylight. Where do the funds come from for the raw materials? HS raised the funds in a variety of ways, including selling chocolate bars and soliciting donations in creative ways. There was obviously massive amounts of planning that took place to make this happen.
