Officer of the Deck – JW

Helmsman – NB

We had two quests on board today – one expected and one unexpected.  The expected guest was the Public Relations Director for the Council that runs the Chase Program.  She was on board all day taking pictures and talking to us.  We should be part of their Public Relations Program now!

Our unexpected guest was one of the leaders from the other boat who was left behind when the boat left early.

We had a great day.  The temperature was comfortable, the skies blue and a good breeze.  On our way out of the port where we spent the night, we passed the channel markers with the Osprey Nests and got one more look at the babies.

After sailing for about ½ hour we entered a battle with the other boat.  Quite a few water balloons went back and forth.  It required a great deal of skill moving the boat close enough to throw our balloons.  It was great fun.  The Council Public Relations Director, Amanda, even joined in to help us.

We enjoyed some time later with the scouts in the water being pulled by the boat.  NB, NM and JW were pulled by the boat.  BB, DD and HS swung on one of the lines from the mast.  Everyone had a great time.

During lunch we came upon a pod of dolphins.  They swam around us for about 20 minutes.  It was amazing.

We cruised into port about 2:30 PM and were finally back to where we had started on Monday.

After a good cleaning of the boat it was time for a swim.

We had tacos for dinner and later the scouts enjoyed a DVD on the computer before lights out.
