Early Afternoon

The team of older scouts reached camp much sooner than the other team.  They started the ball rolling with by preparing Sloppy Joes for lunch.

The Troop 374 KP Station.  At the left is a soapy pre-wash (where dishes are cleared off to appear to look clean)  Then germs & bacteria are nuked in the hot soapy antibacterial wash.  Then two rinses.  The ropes for the drying towels (not in the photo) are just to the right of the KP station. (This brief infomercial brought to you by DP from KP)

In the photo on the right (below), Mr. Brunton shows us that his skills go way beyond just cooking!

The wood needed to be split.  Mr. Pearson split a chunk of wood in a dozen strikes to the wedge.  But then the scouts began to compete.  JR and PT dueled it out.  They were able to make it happen with much greater efficiency than thought possible.  It is truly a blessing to have athletes in our troop.
